About Sudanese Women for Homeland Initiative

Sudanese Women for Homeland is a comprehensive national initiative that aims to strengthen national unity in Sudan, achieve sustainable development, and reinforce social peace.

The initiative seeks to bring together human and material resources within a collective framework of action to serve communities effectively.

Its importance stems from the current circumstances in Sudan, where the need for collective efforts to address major development and stability challenges has become more urgent than ever.

This initiative is a critical step toward strengthening social cohesion and supporting economic recovery across Sudan.

The initiative emerged as a women-led response after the outbreak of war in Sudan in April 2023, to advocate for and support the Sudanese people in general, especially women and children. It immediately activated social action mechanisms to support displaced and migrant families and assisted families who lost their providers.
